Kinesiology Balances

A Kinesiology Balance is what we call our sessions because in each one we are working to bring your body’s energy into balance around the goal or issue you are working on.

Each balance starts with a discussion – in your first visit this will include a full history. Then we’ll set a goal for the session and I will use one of several protocols of muscle and other testing to get feedback from your body on what it needs.

Each session is different and tailored specifically to you. I like to think of it as a three way conversation between you, me and your body (using muscle testing). The three of us will work together to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

What does a session look like?

While every session is different as it is tailored to your personal needs and goals there are a few commonalities.

FAQ

Things to know before your Kinesiology session

In the first appointment I will take a full history and we’ll talk about what you want to work on. Then we’ll set a goal for the session and I will use muscle testing to get feedback from your body on what it needs.

It’s a very collaborative and interactive process and I will discuss with you what is coming up during the session and how that relates to your goal. As noted above, some of the corrections may involve you doing particular movements, following particular breathing patterns while I stretch your muscles or talking and visualisations.

It’s fairly gentle and non-invasive and people usually find it quite relaxing (although it’s different for everyone). The basic concept is to set a goal and then balance the energies in the body towards that goal – so trying to remove any blocks etc.

You can check out the video above showing a timelapse of a balance session to give you and idea of what it looks like.

Everybody’s body is different so there is no one answer to this question. People often report feeling lighter, more relaxed, clearer in their mind, reductions in pain and generally feeling hopeful and positive. Some people may notice an immediate shift in how they feel or behave in relation to their issue, while others may have more subtle changes that occur over weeks or even months following the balance. While the changes can be powerful most people find Kinesiology to be a fairly gentle modality.

Sometimes it can bring old emotions to the surface and people can find this a little uncomfortable – it generally passes within a couple of days. I will generally check in with you a few days after your session to see how you are feeling but you can always contact me if you need to.

This really depends on what you want to work on, how long your have had a particular problem or issue, how your body responds to Kinesiology and what outcomes you want. People will usually notice at least some change from their first session – how significant a change is different for each individual. In your initial session when we discuss your goals I will give you an idea if I think it may take a few sessions and we can discuss a plan upfront. I can also ask your body about its need for a follow-up towards the end of the session.

I always like to see people for at least 2 sessions as it lets us check in with your body and see if any tweaking or reinforcement is needed. We can get the body nice and balanced in the room but when we return to the ‘real world’ sometimes old patterns can be re-triggered by other stresses – like sometimes when you have a massage and feel great and relaxed afterwards but then you sleep in an odd position and the tension comes back. So, you may need few sessions for the results to hold long term.

Like each session itself, it’s a collaborative process and we discuss what will work for you as an individual. Ultimately it’s up to your personal and financial circumstances.

The session is done fully clothed but I will be moving your arms and legs around to test muscles so shorts/pants are a little easier to work with than a mini skirt but I can always drape you with a towel so you feel comfortable if needed.

I will ask you to remove your shoes so something you can slip on and off easily is good.
Otherwise, just be comfortable.

There are many different styles of healing that are called Kinesiology. Many practitioners combine these modes with other energetic or intuitive distance healing practices and conduct sessions online.

While some kinesiology techniques can be adapted in this setting, there are others for which being in the same room is really the best option.

I combine kinesiology techniques with holistic counselling techniques and energy healing techniques so there is scope to work online across distance.

There are many benefits to working in person as I believe it gives us the strongest and most holistic connection. However, the COVID-19 pandemic helped to show that working remotely can provide benefits as well. Both from a time and convenience perspective but also because in a comfortable home setting you can sometimes be more receptive to receiving healing energy.

By tapping into your energy I can get permission for my muscles to act as a surrogate to include muscle testing in this process. I can also incorporate other kinesiology techniques where they can be adapted.

I will continue to offer in person sessions but will also be offering Holistic Healing sessions via online video chat in the near future.
